A bit about me
Female | Libra | born in 1980-1989 | from: Serbia and Montenegro
I am currently in Kragujevac, Serbia
I believe that my strong educational background and extensive experience make me an appropriate candidate for the position of an Online English Teacher at your school. As you can see in the enclosed resume, I taught ESL to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students of various cultural and linguistic backgrounds in state schools, colleges and online.
I’m currently employed as an English teacher in primary school, where I am responsible for using modern and dynamic teaching methods to show students how to communicate fluently using the English language. My duties include motivating, supporting, challenging and developing students' skills at all levels, as well as assessing their progress, giving feedback to both, students and parents. My duties also include preparing lesson plans, keeping records of students’ progress and attending meetings related to all school activities.
I’ve been teaching as an ESL teacher for more than 12 years in primary school, age 6-14. During this time, I have tried out different methods and approaches in order to find the best ones which would help my students develop their skills to the maximum. I would also like to add that I have experience in teaching college students, which I obtained as a part time English assistant, at High School of Technical studies, and online tutoring, which I obtained while working as an online English teacher. Aside from teaching, I organized a Drama club, so as to engage students in extracurricular activities. I was also working at the Regional Centre for talented students, and my students won leading places in state competitions. I’ve also gained experience in teaching online, while working as an online teacher at Bibo Global Opportunity. Concerning my professional development, I obtained state teaching license in 2007, and since then I’ve been a mentor teacher for four young teachers. That position required training them and assessing their progress, within one-year period, as well as helping them prepare for the state license exams. I’ve also attended more than 300 hours of seminars, and obtained the TEFL certificate of Cambridge as well. Aside from teaching and mentoring responsibilities, I was also a part of many projects and teams at my school. I was also in charge of a school branch, acting as an assistant of the principal, which included monitoring, advising and helping, both teachers and students, as well as organizing and managing meetings, schedules and responsibilities.
To conclude, I will give you the answer to the question why you should hire me. Well, on one hand I am a very responsible and motivated, highly educated teacher. On the other hand, I am a fun, creative and positive teacher, who gives her maximum to her students, who is also a quick thinker, multitasker and problem solver.
Sincere regards,
Gordana Radovanovic
