A bit about me
Male | | from: Belgium
I am currently in
During my education at the University of Ghent (Belgium, Europe), I developed a keen interest in the culture, history and people of China. I took several courses focusing on Chinese history and society, and wrote my thesis about the Sino-Japanese balance of power in the 19th century. Moreover, I studied Buddhism (out of academic interest) and became truly fascinated by your country. It is my lifelong dream to move from Belgium to East-Asia. This chance to become an English teacher in China, represents an opportunity to make my dream come true.
However, my love for China is not the only thing I have to offer. Although I am Belgian and Dutch is my mother tongue, I speak English fluently. I studied English for five years at secondary school and voluntarily took a 'practical English' evening class at University because I realize how import a good command of the English language is on the labor market. Moreover, I am convinced that, by teaching, my English skills will improve even more.
If you are interested in an energetic and enthusiastic English speaker with a profound admiration for China, its people, culture and history, I think I am the right person for the job.
