Professional Experiences: Having more than 10+ Years of experience in International Trading activities (IMPORT/EXPORT). Have stayed in Burma (Myanmar) for more than 9 years looking after the trading operations for Agriculture (Beans & Pulses), Teak Logs, Teak Square & Teak Scantling Products.
Have undergone hard training & have performed various mulpitple tasks (like sales, goods inspection, booking space with the shipping line, Documentation, L/C payment procedures, execution of shipment, etc).

Past & Current :
Sourcing New Seller / Buyer for the products -
Seller - Getting introduced to many new supplier's for their products & introducing them into the oversea mrkt. Giving them the confidence level abt the market & promoting their products to the overseas clients. While interacting with supplier, I got the opportunity to learn more about their products & quality standards. Sharing each other views on how to make the product more competitive and attractive in the overseas mrkt.
Buyer - Approaching Buyer/Buyer's rep & explaining them abt the products which we can offer, quality, grades, specs, quantity, sending them the samples for their approval, testing purpose, etc.
Maintaining effective communication with the buyers and the seller - Always keeping strong healthy relationships with the buyers & sellers.
Business Negtiations - Negotiating business between the buyer & seller. Identifying the market & buyer's exact requirement & sourcing the product as per their needs.
Arranging Sales / Purchase COntract - Arranging the sales / purchase contract between the buyer & Seller. Getting
it signed frm the buyer (or) Seller & taking final confirmation for further export / import proceeds.
Cargo Inspection - is a vital part in any trading organisation. Hv always performed supplier's warehouse visit
for cargo inspection (Before and after the contract). To check the quality of the product & Specification are as
per the international standards. Also arranging for the pre-shpt analysis report of the cargo from the authorised
Inspection Agencies like SGS, OMIC, etc. Informing the same to the buyer and getting his approval on the quality
to aviod any further dispute claims. Once the cargo is ready for shpt. I have been present at the time of loading
till the entire cargo is stuffed into the container. After the entire cargo is stuffed.. we request for the post shpt
analysis report, which is the normal procedure for any trading organisation.
L/C Opening from buyer side - After confirming the deal & payment terms conditions. if it's a L/C Payment, then
requesting for the draft L/C frm the buyer and getting is approvied frm the management. If any correction or
ammendments to be done, we inform the same to the buyer and request for the fresh amendment copy.
If the payment is Adv t/t, DA or DP then it will be as per the contract terms & conditions.
Negotiating Ocean Freight with various shipping lines - As keeping the logistics part in mind. Shipping Line plays
significant role in the International Logistics. Mainly for handling our goods, transporting & delivering the goods
safely & on time at the desired destination. Getting introduced to various shipping lines, explaing them abt our
products & major export / import markets. Negotiating Ocean freight frm various shipping lines, booking space
on behalf of the buyer, Preparing Shipment advice as per the contract, Updating the buyer with the shipment
details, etc. The Shipping Lines which I hv closely worked with for our export / import operations were :
(Myanmar) - Star Line, Cosco, APL, IAL, MISC, OCVL, Phee Group, Vanguard, PIL, etc.
Arranging Pre- Shipemt Inspection - Informing the Authorised Inspections agency for cargo Inspection. For
Pre-Inspection & Post Inspection of the goods. Inspections agencies like SGS, OMIC, LRIS, BVIS, TUV, DNV, etc
depending upon the goods being exported & as per the contratual terms conditions.
Surveyors Inspections at the time of shipment for Quality, Weigth & Packing - Have always performed for
each & every export consignment. I have enjoyed this drill and have learnt more abt how to improvise & maintain
the quality of the product. Inspecting the entire cargo at the time of shipment for Quality, Weight & Packing.
Shipping documentation - Preparing the entire set of Shipping documentation as per the L/C terms conditions
& further negotiating the shipping documents at the bank. Each document to be properly checked & if any mistake arises getting it rectified imdlty.
Follow up payment - After every successful shipment of the goods, following up with the buyer for the payment.
Informing them abt the shpt details & reqesting them to release the payment.
Feedback - Getting feedback frm our customer / buyer regarding the quality of goods & generating new business
leads.
Handle & Settle any quality claim matter - Have handled for any quality claim matter arising frm the buyer's side.
Main handling products - were Agricultual Products (All types of Beans & Pulses of Myanmar Origin) &
Teak Products (Teak Squares & Teak Scantling).
Major markets handled UAE,Qatar,Iran,Egypt,Mauritius,S'pore,Bangladesh & India.
Education Background: Have completed my graduation of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in 1998 from Symbiosis College of Art & Commerce , affiliated to Pune University (Maharashtra), India.
Talents, Skills, and something I am really, really good at: Good Communication with all the level of management, Export Operations, Logistics, Instant Solutions, Motivating everyone within the organisation, Sharing experiences, working hard with the team members & achieving the desired goal effectivitly & efficiently with limited resources.
